Sales Plunge At Jagdish Market

Daily sales at Jagdish Market, the one-stop destination for mobiles and accessories besides tablets, were severely hit due to demonetisation of high denomination notes. Every day up to 4,000 phones of all types are sold in Jagdish market, that houses close to 300 mobile shops. On Monday, sales fell to 20 per cent. "Mostly basic phones that are in the range of Rs 2,000 were sold. Shop Owners suggested to regular customers to give cheques, a trader said.
