TS Top Cops To Attend Meet In MP


Top police officials from Telangana will participate in a three-day annual police conference in Tekanpur, Madhya Pradesh, from Saturday M. Mahendar Reddy, director general of police, along with senior officials from the CID and the intelligence unit will attend the annual meeting organised by the Intelligence Bureau. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, home minister Rajnath Singh and national security advisor Ajit Doval will address the meeting.

The meeting will discuss issues pertaining to the Rohingyas, Islamic State, radicalisation, left wing extremism and caste violence. The state police will present a detailed report on its surrender policy for Maoists.

The intelligence unit of the Telangana police has played a key role in netting terror modules. It has helped in arresting terror suspects, hawala operators and gold smugglers. A case study is likely to be presented by the TS police on counter-terrorism Religious conversions, communal unrest through social media, triple talaq fallout and other issues which have the potential to trigger communal conflicts are likely to come out for discussion at the meeting.
